Anneke Brassinga

Anneke Brassinga is a writer. She studied literary translation at the University of Amsterdam and has been working as a translator since 1972. Among the authors whose works she translated are Diderot, Rousseau, Saint-Simon, Melville, Nabokov, Broch and many others. She made her debut as a writer in 1974 with prose and poetry in De Revisor, using the pseudonym A. Tuinman. Many short story, essay and poetry collections were to follow, such as Het zere been (2002) and Ontij (2010).
