Francis Fukuyama

Francis Fukuyama is a political scientist and economist. He studied political philosophy with Allan Bloom at Cornell University and earned a PhD in political science at Harvard. His work The End of History and the Last Man (1992), in which he points to liberal democracy as the end of the great ideological struggles, made him famous. Francis Fukuyama was Professor of International Political Economy at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington from 2000 to 2010. He is now senior fellow and resident at the Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University. 2011 saw the publication of The Origins of Political Order and 2014 Political Order and Political Decay.
