Gerard Rasch

The Netherlands, 1946 - 2004

Gerard Rasch was a translator. He translated the poetry of writers such as Wisława Szymborska, Czesław Miłosz and Zbigniew Herbert into Dutch, as well as the collected works of Bruno Schulz and a number of books by the well-known journalist Ryszard Kapuściński. In 1997, he received the Martinus Nijhoff Prize for his literary translations.
