Gerhard Lauer

Gerhard Lauer is Professor of German at the University of Göttingen and director of the Göttingen Centre for Digital Humanities. He studied German, philosophy, musicology and Jewish studies in Munich and specialized in modern German literature. He taught at universities such as Princeton and Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Among his works are Grundkurs Literaturgeschichte (2008), Literaturwissenschaftliche Beiträge zur Generationsforschung (2010) and Kunst und Empfindung (with E. Décultot, 2012).
