Henry Hardy is a writer and editor. He studied culture of antiquity, philosophy and psychology at Oxford, where he met Isaiah Berlin, who deeply impressed him. Hardy began writing literary reviews and essays, using the pseudonym Robert Dugdale. Between 1977 and 1990 he was an editor with Oxford University Press. He has been working at Woolfson College since 1990. Hardy collected the writings of Arnold Mallinson but is mostly known for his editing of the works of Isaiah Berlin.
