Ingrid Rowland
Ingrid Rowland is an art historian and classical scholar. She studied ancient Greek and classical archaeology at Bryn Mawr College, where she also obtained her PhD. Her main works are The Culture of the High Renaissance (1998), From Heaven to Arcadia (2004), Giordano Bruno. Philosopher/Heretic (2008) and The Divine Spark of Syracuse (2018). She is a regular contributor to The New York Review of Books and The New Republic. Rowland is currently a professor at the University of Notre Dame School Department of History, and resides in Rome.
