Janneke van der Meulen

Janneke van der Meulen has been a literary translator since 1980. She began with translations from English, including works of Virginia Woolf, and went on to translate from French and German. She is also a freelance translator and editor with De Nederlandse Opera and other opera companies, providing subtitles and translating over seventy librettos (among them Wagner’s entire Ring of the Nibelung). In 2010, her translation of Stefan Zweig’s Ungeduld des Herzens appeared.
