Karl Enenkel

Karl Enenkel studied classical languages, history, philosophy and art history at the University of Vienna, as well as Greek and Latin in Leiden, the university where he became Assistant Professor in 1997 and Professor of Neo-Latin literature in 2005. Enenkel is co-founder of the interdisciplinary journal Intersections. Yearbook for Early Modern Studies, and wrote Die Erfindung des Menschen. Die Autobiographik des frühneuzeitlichen Humanismus von Petrarca bis Lipsius (2008).
