Kishore Mahbubani

Kishore Mahbubani is a most influential Asian thinker and former diplomat who worked as a UN ambassador. In this capacity, he served as President of the Security Council in January 2001 and May 2002. He wrote a number of important books on the increase of the power of Asia and the decline of Western influence in the world, such as Can Asians Think? (2001), The New Asian Hemisphere: The Irresistible Shift of Global Power to the East (2008), Has the West Lost It? (2018), Has China Won? (2020) and most recently The Asian 21st Century, an open access book which has been downloaded over two million times since its release in January 2022. Mahbubani is now a Distinguished Fellow at the Asia Research Institute of the National University of Singapore.
