Mark Lilla

Mark Lilla is Professor of the Humanities at Columbia University in New York. Previously, he held a professorship at the Committee on Social Thought of the University of Chicago. He studied economics and political science, and specializes in intellectual history. Lilla wrote The Reckless Mind: Intellectuals in Politics (2001) and The Stillborn God: Religion, Politics, and the Modern West (2007). He is currently preparing the publication of Ignorance and Bliss.
