Olga Tokarczuk

Olga Tokarczuk is the most important Polish writer of her generation. She wrote twelve novels, including House of Day, House of Night (2003), Primeval & Other Times (2010), and Flights (2018), for which she was awarded the Man Booker International Prize. For her Księgi Jakubowe (‘Books of Jacob’, 2014) she was awarded the Nike Prize, the most important literary prize in Poland. In October 2019, Tokarczuk was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2018.
