Pierre Audi

Pierre Audi is an internationally celebrated theatre and opera director, who has been artistic director of the Dutch Opera (DNO) since 1988. Under his directorship, DNO became one of the leading opera houses in the world, staging grand performances such as Wagner’s Ring cycle. Audi read history at Oxford and founded the Almeida Theatre for contemporary music and musical theatre in London in 1979. Between 2005 and 2014, he was the artistic director of the famous Holland Festival, attracting prominent and promising artists and directors from various disciplines to the Netherlands.
