Rob Wijnberg is founder and editor of De Correspondent, a Dutch online platform for journalism. He studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and began his career in journalism in 2001 with a column in De Telegraaf. In 2005, he published his first long essay on his own generation in De Groene Amsterdammer; it was translated into French for Le Courrier International. Wijnberg turned it into his debut, the political and social pamphlet Boeiuh, which came out in 2007. In that same year, Wijnberg began writing philosophical essays and columns in nrc.next, the newspaper whose general editor he became in 2010. Among his books are Nietzsche en Kant lezen de krant (2009) and Dus Ik Ben (2010, with Stine Jensen). In 2013 he published De Nieuwsfabriek.
