Šejla Kamerić is a video artist and photographer. She studied graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. Between 1997 and 2000, she was art director at the advertising company Fabrika in Sarajevo. Her work, mainly photography and video, has been on display all over the world. Kamerić is a member of the European Cultural Parliament, a forum for European artists and writers aimed at promoting the debate on the role of art and culture in Europe. She received the Princess Margriet Award of the European Cultural Foundation in 2011. Her best-known works are the photograph Bosnian Girl and the film Glück (2009).
