Christopher Caldwell

Christopher Caldwell is a journalist whose well-researched arguments make a distinctive constribution to the debate about the future of the west. He takes the view that the moral and ideological foundations of Western civilization are at risk of being eroded by progressive and utopian experimentation. Caldwell writes for the conservative journal The Claremont Review of Books and is known for his opinion pieces in The New York Times. As a member of the editorial board of the French journal Commentaire and as the author of Reflections on the Revolution in Europe: Immigration, Islam, and the West (2009), he is also well acquainted with Europe. His book on his own country, The Age of Entitlement: America Since the Sixties (2020), a reflection on the unforeseen consequences of American liberalism, was a The New York Times Best Seller.
