David Albahari
David Albahari was a writer and translator. He studied English language and literature at the University of Belgrade and published his first collection of short stories, Porodično vreme (Family Time), in 1973. Among the collections and novels that followed, Mamac (Motherland, 1996) and Kontrolny punkt (Point of Control, 2011) stand out. He also translated contemporary British, American and Canadian works by Margaret Atwood, V.S. Naipaul and Vladimir Nabokov into Serbian.
