Russell Sherman
Russell Sherman is a pianist. He studied composition and piano with Edward Steuermann and made his orchestral debut with the New York Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein. He also obtained a degree in the humanities at Columbia University. Sherman made a great number recordings, for instance of Beethoven’s piano sonatas (1996-1998). He also wrote the book of essays Piano Pieces (1996). Sherman currently teaches at New England Conservatory in Boston.
