Adam Michnik
Adam Michnik is a historian and essayist. Under the communist regime in his country, he was a member of resistance and was imprisoned various times because of it. In 1989, he participated in the Polish Round Table Talks, and he was a member of Poland’s first democratically elected parliament between 1989 and 1991. Michnick has been general editor of the Gazeta Wyborcza, the largest Polish newspaper, since 1989. He published works such as Penser la Pologne: morale et politique de la rĂ©sistance (1983) and Letters from freedom (1998). In 2010, a book in Polish on antisemitism came out.
