Alison Wolf

Alison Wolf is an economist, education expert, and Professor and Director at King’s College in London. She studied economics, became an educational policy analyst for the government and went on to teach at the Institute of Education at the University of London. Wolf investigates the interface between educational institutions and the labour market. She is a columnist of the Times Higher Education Supplement. In 2002, her book Does Education Matter? Myths about Education and Economic Growth appeared and in 2011, she presented the Wolf Report, in which she makes recommendations for the improvement of vocational education. In 2013, she published the influential book The XX Factor. How Working Women Are Creating a New Society, in which she studies the impact of women on the labour market from their first incorporation to our own day.
