Ariadne von Schirach

Ariadne von Schirach is a freelance journalist, essayist and writer. She studied philosophy, sociology and psychology in Munich, Barcelona and Berlin. In 2007 Von Schirach published her first book, Der Tanz um die Lust, a work on the consequences of the sexualization of society. She writes opinion pieces for some of Germany’s leading papers, such as Die Welt Online, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Her most recent book, Du sollst nicht funktionieren. Für eine neue Lebenskunst, was published in 2014.
