David Trueba
David Trueba is a film director, screenwriter and novelist. He began his career as a journalist for various Spanish newspapers and TV shows, but left for the American Film Institute in the United States to write the script for Los peores años de nuestra vida (1994). In the years that followed, he made films such as Soldados de Salamina (2002) and Madrid, 1987 (2011), as wel as the TV series ¿Qué fue de Jorge Sanz? (2010). He also wrote three novels, Abierto toda la noche (1995), Cuatro amigos (1999) and Saber perder (2008), and was a columnist for El País.
