Dirk de Schutter

Dirk de Schutter is a philosopher. He studied German and philosophy, and is Professor of Philosophy at the Hogeschool-Universiteit in Brussels. His research and publications focus mainly on modern philosophers, such as Hegel, Nietzsche and Heidegger. De Schutter translated Hannah Arendt’s The Origins of Totalitarianism into Dutch in 2006, and in 2005 published Het ketterse begin: Arendt over de filosofie van het actieve leven.
