Félix de Azúa

Félix de Azúa studied philosophy in Madrid and Paris and gained a PhD in 1982 with a thesis on Diderot. He taught at various Spanish universities and in 1993 became Professor of Aesthetics at the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña in Barcelona. Between 1993 and 1995, he was the director of the Instituto Cervantes in Paris. De Azúa became famous with novels such as Historia de un idiota contada por él mismo (1986), Diario de un hombre humillado (1987) and Momentos decisivos (2000). His poetry was collected as Última sangre (Poesía 1968-2007).
