Ferdinand Mount

Ferdinand Mount is a writer of novels, political columns and essays, as well as a politician with the Conservative Party. Between 1991 and 2003, he was general editor of The Times Literary Supplement; afterwards, he was a columnist with Standpoint, The Sunday Times and The Daily Telegraph. Mount published essays such as The British Constitution Now: Recovery or Decline? (1992) and Mind the Gap: The New Class Divide in Britain (2004). Among his works are the six-volume novel Chronicle of Modern Twilight (1975-2004) and Full Circle: How the Classical World Came Back to Us (2010).
