Fernando Savater
Fernando Savater is a philosopher. As an Assistant Professor in Madrid, he was forced to resign for political reasons. He gained his PhD in 1975, the year of the death of dictator Franco, and in the young Spanish democracy became an influential intellectual. In 1980, he became a Professor of Ethics at the University of San Sebastián. Since 1993, he has held a professorship at the Complutense University in Madrid. Among Savater’s works are El valor de educar (1991), Política razonable (2008) and La aventura de pensar (2010).
