Fritz Stern
Fritz Stern was a historian. Until his retirement in 1997, he was a professor at Columbia University in New York. Stern is a prominent historiographer of the rise of national socialism in Europe. He became known through books such as Gold and Iron. Bismarck, Bleichröder and the Building of the German Empire (1977), Einstein’s German World (1999) and Five Germanys I Have Known (2006).
