Gopalkrishna Gandhi
Gopalkrishna Gandhi is a statesman, diplomat and grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. After studying English literature at the University of Delhi, he served in various diplomatic and administrative positions, including Ambassador of India to Norway and Iceland. In 2004 , Gandhi was appointed Governor of West Bengal, which he remained until 2009. He then chaired the Indian Institute of Advanced Study until 2014 and currently teaches history and politics as a professor at Ashoka University. He published various books on his grandfather and edited the Essential Writings of Mahatma Gandhi (2008).
