Hendrik Hertzberg

Hendrik Hertzberg began working as a journalist with The New Yorker in 1969, specializing in political affairs, and went on to become a staff member and the main speech writer in the White House under President Carter. Hertzberg then became the general editor of the journal The New Republic and returned to The New Yorker as senior editor. His columns appeared in Politics: Observations and Arguments, 1966 – 2004. In 2009, he published ¡Obámanos! The Birth of a New Political Era.
