Jo Guldi is Assistant Professor at Brown University, with a special interest in the history of capitalism, colonialism and land use. Guldi was educated at Harvard, Cambridge and the University of California and received fellowships from the University of Chicago and Harvard. The range and breadth of her research caused her to become a designer and developer of software which allows historians to use new investigative methods. Her most recent book, The History Manifesto (2014), written together with David Armitage, took the academic world by storm, revising the practice of the historical profession.
