Karsten Harries

Karsten Harries is a philosopher. He gained his PhD at Yale University, where he is now a Professor of Philosophy. Harries specializes in early modern philosophy and the philosophy of art, architecture and kitsch. He is the author of The Meaning of Modern Art (1968), The Bavarian Rococo Church: Between Faith and Aestheticism (1983), The Ethical Function of Architecture (1997), Criticism, and Infinity and Perspective (2001) and Wahrheit. Die Architektur der Welt (2012).
