Lawrence Summers

Lawrence Summers is an economist. He studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, obtained his PhD at Harvard and became one of that university’s youngest professors ever at the age of 28. In 1991, Summers became chief economist of the World Bank. Between 1999 and 2001, he was Secretary of the Treasury under President Clinton. He then became the president of Harvard University until 2006. Since 2011, Summers has returned to his position as an Economics Professor.
