Lesley Chamberlain
Lesley Chamberlain is a writer and a journalist. She studied German and Russian in Exeter and Oxford, and made her debut as an author with The Food and Cooking of Russia (1982). Her articles, which frequently deal with philosophy, literature and Eastern Europe, regularly appear in The Times and The Times Literary Supplement. Among her non-fictional works are Nietzsche and Turin (1996) and The Philosophy Steamer Lenin and the Exile of the Intelligentsia (2006). In 2012, A Shoe Story: How a Writer, a Painter and a Philosopher Reset the Twentieth Century came out.
