Lydia Goehr

Lydia Goehr is Professor of Philosophy at Columbia University. She specializes in the philosophy of music, aesthetics, cultural history and the history of philosophy. She wrote works such as The Imaginary Museum of Musical Works (1992), The Quest for Voice. Music, Politics, and the Limits of Philosophy (1997) and Elective Affinities: Musical Essays on the History of Aesthetic Theory (2008).
