Marlene Dumas

Marlene Dumas is an artist. She was educated at Capetown University and Ateliers ’63 in Haarlem. Dumas had expositions in Tokyo (2007: Broken White), New York (2010: Against The Wall) and London (2011: Forsaken). Her work is present in the MoMA in New York, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and in Tate Modern in London. In 1998, she published Sweet Nothings. Notes and Texts. She won the Swedish Rolf Schock Prize in 2011, and the Johannes Vermeer Prize in 2012.
