Martin Rees

Martin Rees is seen as the world’s foremost cosmologist and astrophysicist. From 2004 to 2012, he was Master of Trinity College, Cambridge, and between 2005 and 2010 President of the Royal Society. Rees is much praised for his books for a general audience. Among these are Just Six Numbers: The Deep Forces That Shape the Universe (1999) and From Here to Infinity: Scientific Horizons (2011). In Our Final Century: Will the Human Race Survive the Twenty-first Century? (2003), he warns against the dangers which threaten man’s future and suggests that the effects of modern technology might end up leading to the destruction of Earth and man. His book What We Still Don’t Know appeared in 2013.
