Menno Meyjes
Menno Meyjes is a Hollywood screenwriter and film director. He studied at the Art Institute of California in San Francisco, and had his breakthrough with the scenario of The Color Purple (1985). He has since written the screenplay of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) for Steven Spielberg, Ricochet (1999) for Russell Mulcahy and The Siege for Edward Zwick. Meyjes’s debut as a director was Max (2002). In 2007, Manolete came out. Afterwards, Meyjes wrote the screenplay for Black Gold (2011). In 2012 he returned to the Netherlands, where he directed and wrote Het Diner (2013) and De Reünie (2015).
