Nike Wagner is the great-granddaughter of composer Richard Wagner. She studied drama, music and literature in Berlin, Munich and the United States. Wagner is director of the art festival Pèlerinages in Weimar and a collaborator of the Bayreuther Festspiele, founded in 1876 by her great-grandfather. She has written on Karl Kraus and on the Wagner family.
