Norberto Bobbio

Norberto Bobbio was a philosopher of law and political science, as well as a writer and journalist. In the 1940s, he was politically involved with the illegal, anti-fascist party Partito d’Azione, suffering imprisonment twice. After the war, he decided on a career in the academic world: between 1948 and 1979, he was Professor in Philosophy of Law and Political Science in Turin. His best-known works are Politica e Cultura (1955) and Dialogo Intorno alla Repubblica (2001).
