Stanislao Pugliese

Stanislao Pugliese is a historian. He was a researcher at the Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in Washington and Oxford University, and is currently Professor in European History at Hofstra University, focusing especially on Italian and Italian-American studies. Among his many books are Carlo Rosselli: Socialist Heretic and Antifascist Exile (1999), Fascism, Anti-Fascism and the Resistance in Italy (2003) and Bitter Spring. A Life of Ignazio Silone (2009), as well as collections such as The Most Ancient of Minorities: The Jews of Italy (2002) and The Legacy of Primo Levi (2005).
