Ton Koopman
Ton Koopman is a conductor, harpsichordist and musicologist. He founded the Amsterdam Baroque Orchetsra in 1979, with which he made recordings of Sweelinck, Back, Händel and Mozart. Between 1994 and 2004, Koopman released all of Bach’s cantatas on cd and between 1994 and 2004, he recorded the complete works of Buxtehude. In 2006, Koopman was made Professor of Musicology at the University of Leiden. He performed with orchestras all over the world and is currently guest conductor with the Cleveland Orchestra.
