Yvonne van Rooy

Yvonne van Rooy is a Christian Democrat politician and administrator. After studying law she worked with the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers and was a member of European Parliament. Between 1986 and 1994, she was Secretary of State in Economic Affairs, then entered into the House of Commons. In 1997, Van Rooy left politics in order to become chairman of the board of directors of the Catholic University Brabant. She was chairman of the Board of Utrecht University between 2004 and 2012. Per December 2012, she is the chair of the Dutch Hospitals Association NVZ.
