Benedetta Craveri
Benedetta Craveri is a writer, professor and literary critic, and granddaughter of Italian philosopher Benedetto Croce. After studying French literature, she became editor of the cultural TV show Spazio Tre. In 1988, she began teaching French language and literature at the Università della Tuscia in Viterbo, and in 2005 started teaching at the Università degli Studi Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples. Among her books are La civiltà della conversazione (2002), Amanti e regine. Il potere delle donne (2005) and Maria Antonietta e lo scandalo della collana (2006). Craveri also wrote for La Repubblica and The New York Review of Books.
