The Idea of Europe -
2 October 2004
09.30 – 20.00
Palac Prymasowski, Warschau
Past, Present and Future
Are we in need of common values? And what would such European values represent? Can we still unproblematically use, or refer to, the traditions which once underpinned the ideal of European civilisation? Central aspects of present-day Europe, such as pluralism, national identities, and borders, were addressed in this seminar. From the perspective of the future of European civilisation, the question remains: what choices can we still make?
