Constantin Floros
Constantin Floros is Emeritus Professor of Musicology at the University of Hamburg. He studied musicology, art history, philosophy and psychology at Vienna University, as well as composition and conducting at the Vienna Muzic Academy. His works principally deal with composers, such as Beethoven, Brahms, Bruckner and Berg; he became well-known for his three-volume work on Gustav Mahler (1977-1985). He also wrote on the meaning of music, for instance in Humanism, Love and Music (2011).
