David Dubal

David Dubal is an internationally acclaimed expert on the piano and its history. He teaches at Juilliard School of Music in New York, where he taught many rising stars, and is famous for his lecture-recitals, combining music and lectures on music. He was awarded an Emmy for the movie The Golden Age of the Piano. Dubal wrote several classics on the piano and the history of piano music, including The Art of the Piano (1989) and The Essential Canon of Classical Music (2001), and hosts the radio programme The Piano Matters, in which he analyzes the variations in performance style between various artists and companies.
