
David Dubal
David Dubal is an internationally acclaimed expert on the piano, piano literature and its history. He was a professor at Juilliard School in New York, where he taught many rising stars, and is famous for his lecture-recitals, combining music and lectures on music. He was awarded an Emmy for the movie The Golden Age of the Piano that he wrote. Dubal published several classics on the piano and the history of piano music, including The Art of the Piano (1989) and The Essential Canon of Classical Music (2001), and hosts the radio programme The Piano Matters, in which he analyzes the variations in performance style between various artists and companies. He is also the host of the educational Piano Evenings with David Dubal concert series, in which attendees get to hear and mingle with rising stars of the piano world.
