Diederik Kraaijpoel

Diederik Kraaijpoel was a painter, writer and teacher. He taught at the Minerva art academy in Groningen and wrote on art in Dutch weeklies Vrij Nederland and HP/De Tijd. In books such as De Nieuwe Salon: officiële beeldende kunst na 1945 (1989), Was Pollock kleurenblind? Bouwstenen voor de herschrijving van de kunstgeschiedenis (1997) and Het kunstschilderboek. Handboek voor materialen en technieken (2007), he attacks the hegemony of modernism in the arts.
