Iván Fischer

Iván Fischer is a conductor. He studied piano, violin, cello, composition and conducting in Budapest and Vienna, and conducted orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, the Cleveland Orchestra and many others. Fischer is principal conductor of the Budapest Festival Orchestra, which he founded in 1983. He is also a guest conductor for the Concertgebouw Orchestra.
