John Maynard Keynes

John Maynard Keynes was one of the most influential economists of the past century. He became known principally through his The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money (1936), which contained the ‘keynesian theory’ set to become the foundation of contemporary macro-economics. Keynes was a prominent member of the Bloomsbury Group.
