Kees Fens
Kees Fens was a co-founder of the literary journal Merlyn in the 1960s. He wrote essays and was a literary critic for Dutch literature in newspapers and journals such as De Tijd and de Volkskrant. Between 1982 and 1994, he was Professor of Modern Literature in Nijmegen. Among his best-known publications are De eigenzinnigheid van de literatuur (1964), Waarom ik niet tennis (en ook niet hockey) (1980), Leermeesters (1994) and Nabij (2008).
